Darryn Yates

Found himself at a rock bottom place several years ago after getting fired again from the corporate world. He realized he was absolutely miserable having a boss and being told what he was worth. Years earlier he was in Los Angeles & Nashville with a pop rock band he formed called On Tracy Lane. OTL opened for many national acts, played overseas for the US troops, enlisted actress Lacey Chabert to star in a music video, & was signed to a small record label touring the west coast.

When he didn’t get the break he expected, he moved back home to the St. Louis area, met a girl and started a family. He did morning-drive radio & local TV with The Darryn Yates Show for a couple years, but ended up having to get a regular corporate job in healthcare recruiting. This started a crazy cycle of layoffs, 10+ firings, and quitting jobs after butting heads with most of his bosses.

Darryn knew he wasn’t going to work for anyone else ever again after the last firing and he hid in a parking lot pretending to go to work. Depressed and borderline suicidal, he realized this was his rock bottom. Darryn didn’t get the big break and he couldn’t make it in the regular world, so what was left for him?

He realized he had 2 options…stay on a dark path or bounce back with a F’n vengeance. At that time, Darryn’s wife Crystal was pregnant with their 3rd child. He had a vision of what he would hear about his father. Would it be the story of a tragic demise or their dad using adversity to fight his way to a success story. Darryn chose the latter.

When he started figuring out his plan of attack, he promised himself he would help others see this light as a few mentors had done for him. Reveal Your Rockstar LIVE is all about you finding your purpose and passion. This event is Darryn following through on the promise to himself.
